Internal Protection

A. Transient

Transient overvoltages are caused very high increase of voltage caused electrical discharges (lightning) or switching manoeuvres.

1. Protection for Power Supply Line

a. ATSHOCK SERIES

Type 1 protection.

Highest protection for power supply lines at the point of entrance of the building.

Protection against direct lightning discharges. Able to withstand a 50kA, 10/350prs impulse current wave.

b. ATSHIELD SERIES

Type 1+2 protection.

Protectors combining the best properties of the existing surge protection technologies: varistor low residual voltage (1500V) together with the spark gap capacity of absorbing the lightning current (30 KA, 10/350urs wave).

c. ATSUB SERIES

Type 2 or 3 protection.

Withstand tens of kiloamperes, reducing the overvoltages to a non-harming level for the equipment.

d. ATCOVER SERIES

Type 1+2+3 protection.

Quick, robust and efficient protection for all phases both in common and differential mode, leaving a low residual voltage (900V).

e. ATVOLT SERIES

Type 3 protection.

Protection of direct current supply Iines with a low residual voltage.

2. Protection of Data and Communication Line

 a.    ATLINE SERIES

Data lines protection with a wide rangeof working voltages (from 5 to 110V).

b. ATFREQ

Coaxial cable protection for TV CCTV and high frequency signals.

c. ATLAN

Protection of computer lines with RJ45 connector (switches, hubs).

d. ATFONO

Protection for ADSL, ISDL and analogical telephone lines.

B. Permanent

Permanent overvoltages are those having a relatively long duration (several seconds). The usual causes of these overvoltages are a defective connection of the neutral I or power consumption drops.

According to En 50550

Complete kit which includes single-phase/three-phase protector combined against permanent and transient overvolttages, shunt release and main circuit breaker.
